read lenord sax about why gender matters

2019-12-01 02:54:39 UTC

it just LOOKS like teamwork because the the plebes (lower status kids) fall inline quickly

2019-12-01 02:54:42 UTC

discusses why you want all girl or boy schools

2019-12-01 02:54:49 UTC

Actually I don't think it does that at all

2019-12-01 02:55:13 UTC

Because hierarchical positioning requires you to be apart of the ingroup

2019-12-01 02:55:30 UTC

This sets up subgroups that are against each other

2019-12-01 02:55:38 UTC

you don't think that the popular kids instantly inherit a position of status when mixed with a new set of plebes?

2019-12-01 02:55:56 UTC

They'd do that anyway

2019-12-01 02:56:17 UTC

no they don't; popular kids wouldn't normally ASSOCIATE with those plebes

2019-12-01 02:56:24 UTC

they'd stick to their own groups

2019-12-01 02:56:40 UTC

I’m a popular kid

2019-12-01 02:56:48 UTC

but the new class gives plebes access they wouldn't normally have

2019-12-01 02:56:53 UTC

Okay I get what you're saying

2019-12-01 02:57:03 UTC

@ManAnimal In my experience, if I'm working on a project with a kid more popular than me, than I just tend to fall in line. Take the path of least resistance.

2019-12-01 02:57:14 UTC

^

2019-12-01 02:57:59 UTC

It’s not about popularity when it comes to projects it’s about leadership skills

2019-12-01 02:58:12 UTC

@livid_scrooge It really is...

2019-12-01 02:58:19 UTC

sometimes you wield it and aren't even aware that you wield it; that was me in school; EVERYONE knew who i was; i didn't feel that way though

2019-12-01 02:58:42 UTC

football team transfer student

2019-12-01 02:58:49 UTC

Class rooms should probably be gender segregated at least if you want your classroom to act like a team

2019-12-01 02:58:52 UTC

Everyone knows who I am but don't really interact with me at all.

2019-12-01 02:59:08 UTC

I'd tend to agree with the gender segregated approach

2019-12-01 02:59:19 UTC

And race

2019-12-01 02:59:31 UTC

with a more controlled blending

2019-12-01 02:59:35 UTC

I think that classrooms should be an in group in and of themselves but they currently they really aren't

2019-12-01 02:59:44 UTC

They aren't a team in the same way a sports team is

2019-12-01 03:00:10 UTC

that was my college class. there was only 15 of us in my major in the entire college

2019-12-01 03:00:15 UTC

we all knew each other

2019-12-01 03:00:23 UTC

we in all the same classes

2019-12-01 03:00:41 UTC

It's how it should be

2019-12-01 03:00:58 UTC

most of the time, ONLY us were taking those classes, no other students

2019-12-01 03:01:00 UTC

I was known as a troublemaker. >.>

2019-12-01 03:01:16 UTC

Look, it was just that *one* time I broke the security on the school computers...

2019-12-01 03:01:16 UTC

People nowdays have their 5 person friendgroup and don't know anything about the rest of the class

2019-12-01 03:01:19 UTC

for 20 yrs, i could go back to college and the profs knew me of a first name basis

2019-12-01 03:01:25 UTC

can't beat that experience

2019-12-01 03:01:26 UTC

They wouldn't be able to tell you what the other students interests are

2019-12-01 03:01:44 UTC

@Laucivol Hahaha, I got burned for using Tor

2019-12-01 03:02:14 UTC

@Laucivol, the future marine was branded a trouble-maker? you don't say

2019-12-01 03:02:24 UTC

They thought I had Austim in 3rd grade

2019-12-01 03:02:32 UTC
