"A hoax may it be, but this beer is A-ok with me!"
Between Vishnu Brahma and Shiva you have the three supreme deities for the Indians and then you have their subvariants/aspects as the lesser gods @ubermensch
Yeah, the Indian pantheon gets mighty complex.
Indian pantheon? More like Indian POOtheon
But its easy to simplify and be precise
Once had an Indian boss who I sat down with and had him explain it to me for *hours*.
Isn’t there like a thousand different gods in Hindu religion
Hinduism has the 3 supreme deities
Vishnu Brahma and Shiva
The creation myth alone was substantial.
All lesser gods are just aspects or derviviations of them
*The Plagues Tale: Innocence* is a very good game
@SideTracker seems kinda pointless but alright
Summarizing such a nuanced mythos so crassly seems to me to be unjust.
Vishnu is the Creator God
Brahma is the Perserver God
Shiva is the Destroyer God
Each one represents an aspect of existence, Vishnu is creation of the world, Brahman is maintaining the world and Shiva is destroying the world
Same thing with the Druidic lore.
And summarizing the ancirnt greek,Egyptian and germanic pantheons wasnt? @Laucivol
Thats a tad pretentious
@Laucivol I mean in terms of understanding things ya seems like having nearly a thousand splinters of 3 predominant gods seems a bit pointless.
They are, too. XD
I know, but...
@ubermensch look its complicated
I'm responding about the real world implications - rather incorrectly in context, at that.
Least Jesus made it easier
They represent diferent aspects of things revolving around said core concept
Or expansions upon said core concept
Each new deity brings nuance you know
Well, then there are the various splinters off of *that* and the historic interplay with Saints and all that jazz.
So like Poseidon is god of the sea but there is also a god of the waves?
I may be a Protestant & find it ultimately malarkey, but it's still neat to be aware of it.
@ubermensch honestly if you want a solid grasp at the concept of the idea just check this video out, plus its humorous

Also Hindu mythology has essentially spaceships and lasers fighting over intergalactic wars
Which is kinda of awesome
Well if god of war ever gets to India
I am curious how that will play out
Im not even jokimg about the space ship part
Hindu myth is essentially ye oldy star wars
Weird
all i know about induism i learned playing Ashura's wrath
