Depends what games you’re playing.
For grand strategy games like Hearts of Iron 4, I couldn’t imagine going back to 16:9
21:9 makes the map so much more manageable.

The only time it really becomes a problem is when a game is made for the “competitive crowd” and they limit the display so you don’t have an advantage. Starcraft 2 comes to mind.
