so which is it?

2019-12-05 18:33:20 UTC

how can something for kindergartners be overly-complicated?

2019-12-05 18:33:26 UTC

obviously MA, you need to learn the basics

2019-12-05 18:33:36 UTC

See the computer above

2019-12-05 18:33:46 UTC

but modded MC will get your engineering dick hard.

2019-12-05 18:34:16 UTC

It's the 30th anniversary of the time a man actually unironically wernt and shot a bunch of women for moving into men's professions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89cole_Polytechnique_massacre

2019-12-05 18:34:21 UTC

shooting happened in montreal

2019-12-05 18:34:28 UTC

The circuits can get big without mods yeah

2019-12-05 18:34:33 UTC

does the computer WORK>

2019-12-05 18:34:40 UTC

yes

2019-12-05 18:34:41 UTC

Yes

2019-12-05 18:34:47 UTC

I've seen slope skier played

2019-12-05 18:35:08 UTC

so if i build the circuit IRL it will do something?

2019-12-05 18:35:23 UTC

Well you can build logic gates

2019-12-05 18:35:31 UTC

And you can place pixels

2019-12-05 18:35:38 UTC

And you can tell pixels to move with pistons

2019-12-05 18:36:07 UTC

If you if you think of blocks as pixels

2019-12-05 18:36:07 UTC

has anyone written 'bridge scripts' between real life tools?

2019-12-05 18:36:24 UTC

I didn't know but people have run Minecraft in Raspberry Pi so I assume it's highly possible

2019-12-05 18:36:34 UTC

Hook it up with Arduino or something

2019-12-05 18:37:00 UTC

well, more like be able to translate between an Arduino sketch and a minecraft object

2019-12-05 18:37:13 UTC

Kicad schematic to meinkraft circuit

2019-12-05 18:37:23 UTC

THAT would be cool

2019-12-05 18:38:01 UTC

Minecraft is still java

2019-12-05 18:38:20 UTC

The windows 10 edition is just Microsoft trying to resell the same game

2019-12-05 18:38:21 UTC

Java is still better if memory is at a premium

2019-12-05 18:38:25 UTC

Well there are definitely things that happened in game that output messages to my server overview

2019-12-05 18:38:33 UTC

Open Computers/computer craft, will teach you how to write programming to set tasks that you as a player will do, very advanced, it's merely a couple of mods in an environment that you can add a surprising amount to, I used to make custom mod packs, the possibilities are insane actually.

2019-12-05 18:38:34 UTC

memory is cheap though

2019-12-05 18:38:59 UTC

Also I've seen Discord integration

2019-12-05 18:39:00 UTC

I like a lot of exploration type stuff

2019-12-05 18:39:02 UTC

opens up some interesting possibilities

2019-12-05 18:39:19 UTC

hexxit and tekxit are good

2019-12-05 18:39:29 UTC

tekxit is a combo of tekkit and hexxit but more updated

2019-12-05 18:39:38 UTC

always thought they should do more cross-compatibility between real-world tools and games like Kerbal

2019-12-05 18:39:41 UTC

yes yes, you can also easily download a premade mod pack

2019-12-05 18:39:43 UTC

I don't suppose you have any spigot bucket experience?

2019-12-05 18:39:44 UTC

cos hexxit is stuck on the 2013 build of minecraft

2019-12-05 18:39:53 UTC

You'll waste a lot of hours in minecraft

2019-12-05 18:40:13 UTC

not if you can translate the objects to real life objects
