@JackH670 you can own a TV, just mot one connected to anything

2019-12-21 11:57:16 UTC

Probably tbh haven't looked into it

2019-12-21 11:57:16 UTC

if you use it as a monitor only, you're okay

2019-12-21 11:57:38 UTC

@🌈 Discord Thanos⚧ if you can receive a/f signals, you're connected

2019-12-21 11:57:44 UTC

if there is all these identity groups of americans rising up against "white" , seems natural to want to establish one if ur "white"

2019-12-21 11:58:01 UTC

You only get a pass if both are 1st gen immigrants from that country and have raised you with that country's culture

2019-12-21 11:58:11 UTC

The BBC charging a tax is about as dumb as when movie companies start bitching about internet piracy

2019-12-21 11:58:15 UTC

And american culture isn't similar enough to pass as british

2019-12-21 11:58:33 UTC

If you want to make your "product" exclusive to paying customers, then don't fucking release it for everyone to copy and pick up for free

2019-12-21 11:58:38 UTC

@JackH670i would say my dad is pretty irish and my mums acts very much like a scot. But I understand

2019-12-21 11:58:51 UTC

@Seven Proxies that's why patents exist

2019-12-21 11:59:00 UTC

you can keep it a trade secret and mob bully anyone that finds out

2019-12-21 11:59:04 UTC

or release it to public

2019-12-21 11:59:50 UTC

If you want to be British irish etc move to those countries, otherwise you're just like every other american tbh

2019-12-21 11:59:50 UTC

It's about as dumb as if I built a kind of "perfume generator" that continually pumped out a pleasant smell into the surrounding enviroment so that any passerby would get a whiff of the scent, but then I approach everyone who walks by and tell them to pay me for the pleasant scent they just inhaled because I own the perfume generator.

If you expose people to your product completely unsolicited, then you have no right to charge them money

2019-12-21 12:00:33 UTC

tf? cleavage is banned now too?

2019-12-21 12:00:40 UTC

@Ralin Storm Patents are a completely socialist idea

@JackH670 my grandpa has been saving money for about 7 years to take me and my sister to Scotland to be with relatives for a few weeks in the summer. Seems very noble of him

2019-12-21 12:01:17 UTC

@Seven Proxies patents protect companies and encourage innovation, they've been abused and corrupted recently though

2019-12-21 12:01:25 UTC

Bruh 7 years is a long time

2019-12-21 12:01:38 UTC

@JackH670 he works at the post office

2019-12-21 12:01:46 UTC

Any so called "free market entrepeneur" who argue in favor of patent laws, are nothing but a faker.

In real capitalism, there is no such thing as patents. In real capitalism the person who can produce goods and sell them the cheapest will win out. Whoever invented the product originally is completely immaterial.

2019-12-21 12:01:54 UTC

@Napoleon Lee Scott noble profession

2019-12-21 12:02:00 UTC

2019-12-21 12:02:06 UTC

pure capitalism is cancer

2019-12-21 12:02:09 UTC

it needs regulation

2019-12-21 12:02:20 UTC

Wow, Pope is a seething mongrel, lmao.

2019-12-21 12:02:39 UTC

@Anubis black pope

2019-12-21 12:03:01 UTC

@Ralin Storm Patents was only invented by socialists in order to prevent companies from earning money by being able to mass produce a product which the "original inventor" couldn't do out of his own basement.

It's some sort of misplaced sense of "sticking up for the little man", which has no place in real capitalism.

2019-12-21 12:03:03 UTC

@🌈 Discord Thanos⚧ @JackH670 my grandpa has the thing with him of "if Scotland becomes independent we must try to move back"

Which has caused some problems with my dad who had a similar idea but with Ireland

2019-12-21 12:03:58 UTC

@Seven Proxies it's abused in it's current form. Companies buy up invention patents and screw the inventor

2019-12-21 12:03:59 UTC

Also, if you were truly an innovator, then you would also innovate ways to make you the exclusive supplier of a product. That is, building the invention in such a way as to make it impossible for anyone else to construct the same kind of product and sell it cheaper than you do.

2019-12-21 12:04:42 UTC

To be clear, it's the communications act 2003, you can't watch anything streamed on air on tv, anything else is ok.
