Religion should have no involvement in the government, nor influence it.

Religion, most of the times, promotes ethical actions and activities, but the Government has to take unethical actions in order for the nation to go forward.

Of course Governments can decide to, for example, cut taxation for Churches and such, but no Church should have involvement in the Government.

The Bible was written so many centuries ago. The world hadn't seen any just democracy. Only the Athenian Democracy, which wasn't that much of a democracy if you think about it.
The more the time passes, the more contemporary religions should become. Otherwise, at a point, religions will become too irrelevant and lose their followers.
