Yeah I hate this place
@Prince_Stolas thank God it was only attempted. It got blocked off by a bunch of absolute chads 👌
I like the self hate Ukrainian nationalism got itself into at this point after almost 7 years of pseudo separation. You don't really have a place to separate to. EU doesn't really want you at this point, self rely is not an option. Zelensky is a clown, a clown with charisma, but still a clown. Russia also has a bunch of issues, but nothing that fundamental, that tied to culture and identity.
russia isn't perfect by far
but I'd rather be with russia than have a "free" Ukraine controlled by the west
I'd rather say fuck Russia fuck the west
The split of Ukraine just becomes a matter of time at this point, it's so sad that it had to go exactly as it did. With such loss of slavian population by the Civil War. I'm glad Crimea got spared
not an option
Fuck the fag parades fuck the Russian imperialism
Maybe not right now but if the fight goes on...
yeah russia is imperialist but again
morally
it would be better to be with russia
and practically
because being alone is not an option for Ukraine
we should join our Orthodox brothers
That's the fun point, you can't ignore both. Есть два стула. The question which are you more comfortable sitting on?
It's still so sad that the 2013 revolution went as it did. It had purpose at first, but then got high jacked by LARPing nazis
yeah
you're alright, moskal
The whole irony of Ukrainian nationalism is that it has no completely sovereign culture to rest on. Ukrainian culture is tied to the Russian one as much as the other way round. What рушники and культ села is all that it can offer, that is in a way sovereign? Anything beyond that?
Ukrainian nationalists either have to borrow heavily from the Russian culture, rebranding symbols as something else. Or just try to act like German soldiers in uniform, signs and flags.
Why not embrace the connection that had developed over a millennium? There are no "russian writers" or "ukranian painters" or "belorussian sculptors". We are one, we get lost when we separate. All of us experience struggles, but if we come together, we can change our broken fate that has hurt us since 1991
This is my outlook on the whole issue
there were Ukrainians though
especially ones that contributed a lot to russian culture
such as
maxim berezovsky
who wrote so many liturgy chants
and songs
@everyone Daily Question 🔖
