Honestly, I don't think the policies against climate change that have been done by now are good

2019-07-18 21:15:08 UTC

lax government regulations because if you regulate them to much your economy fucking dies

2019-07-18 21:15:30 UTC

oh you mean make them more efficient

2019-07-18 21:15:42 UTC

sorry I didn't read the last half because I am small brain

2019-07-18 21:15:45 UTC

@President Sanders📍🇺🇸 they could if buy one from 2010

2019-07-18 21:16:19 UTC

Not everyone can

2019-07-18 21:16:23 UTC

I can't at least from now

2019-07-18 21:16:27 UTC

for*

2019-07-18 21:16:35 UTC

Most of the people around me couldn't

2019-07-18 21:16:45 UTC

Same with many other countries

2019-07-18 21:17:11 UTC

The economy will die if automation takes the job market and climate change/migration costs trillions in the coming decades.
Strict regulations to ensure the well-being of the Earth and eco-system are necessary.

2019-07-18 21:17:54 UTC

Well when automation gets to a certain point UBI will be the only way to survive

2019-07-18 21:18:00 UTC

but that is nowhere close

2019-07-18 21:18:21 UTC

It is very close (20-40 years)
In some ways, it is already here

2019-07-18 21:18:54 UTC

I don't know about that

2019-07-18 21:19:16 UTC

@Deleted User There are already some AI that are used in advanced countries

2019-07-18 21:19:23 UTC

Self driving cars and AI will make menial jobs hard to find. More than half of jobs in the U.S. could be automated in 50 years

2019-07-18 21:19:40 UTC

@President Sanders📍🇺🇸 Depends on the country

2019-07-18 21:19:53 UTC

The infrastructure here is not suitable for AI cars

2019-07-18 21:20:25 UTC

There is a self-driving truck in Switzerland but the roads are not suitable for such a thing

2019-07-18 21:20:38 UTC

Okay well you have to think

2019-07-18 21:20:44 UTC

these robots and ai are literally in their infancy

2019-07-18 21:20:52 UTC

and not ready to sustain society

2019-07-18 21:23:13 UTC

I think it would harm other jobs that rely on people as well

2019-07-18 21:24:17 UTC

Well... most experts agree jobs will be slashed rather quickly.
New jobs will become available, but that likely mean millions of people will need to be re-trained and put in position to survive in the advancing technological world

2019-07-18 21:25:00 UTC

I see even worse things, people would just lose skills that are needed for survival and self-development

2019-07-18 21:25:45 UTC

Taking a pic of a person instead of drawing him is sure easier but the second choice would make him better when it comes to self-development.

2019-07-18 21:26:06 UTC

(photocameras are AI too)

2019-07-18 21:27:09 UTC

Also, I think robots can be used if there aren't enough places for a certain job, even though it could also mean to fire some people.

2019-07-18 21:28:03 UTC

There was a car factory, forgot the name of the brand of the cars they produce, where many people of the personnel lost their job there.

2019-07-18 21:32:20 UTC

... due to the AI thing

2019-07-18 21:34:19 UTC

Of course, this doesn't mean new jobs couldn't be found. And I hope it will...

2019-07-18 21:34:58 UTC

And I am talking about jobs that will teach you discipline and organization...

2019-07-18 21:42:45 UTC

fossil ffuels should be done away with once nuclear fission is full optimul

2019-07-18 23:59:06 UTC
2019-07-19 02:55:40 UTC

@Deleted User this.
Nuclear fission was the answer for decades. Molten salt reactors are even safer, have less waste, but weren't ever used by the U.S. over the traditional reactors.

*Fusion* may also become a possibility. Predictions say it may be a reality in 10-30 years.
Although using it on a nationwide scale probably couldn't be accomplished for a bit longer.

2019-07-19 03:57:24 UTC

TF, wh is a Communist agreeing to my view

2019-07-19 09:53:12 UTC

@Deleted User first off, I'm more of a social democrat/democratic socialist. Actual communism won't be a reality in my country for decades.

As for why I agree with your view: because switching to renewable would take time and lots of money. Nuclear is relatively safe and the waste (the main problem) can be stored safely/re-used. So "Why is a communist agreeing to my view?"

Because they don't share in the stigma and see nuclear as a viable alternative, not something to be phased out entirely.

2019-07-19 09:57:52 UTC

Lol you are pretty much a commie but ok

2019-07-19 17:02:46 UTC

Your form of gov is also failed

2019-07-19 17:02:52 UTC

@Orlando It isn't communism
