I think that’s more about stress
Why stress and work yourself to death for material things
@Deleted User old testament still applies
some laws dont anymore
but many still do
eg the old testament states the law against homosexuality
the new testament states its the reason why god destroyed cities and that its unnatural
Matthew 5:17 NIV
**Matthew 5:17 - New International Version (NIV)**
```Dust
The Fulfillment of the Law
<17> "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. ```
Leviticus 19:33-34
**Leviticus 19:33-34 - King James Version (KJV)**
```Dust
<33> And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. <34> But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. ```
Sojourn is meant as a temporary stay, the hebrew word means the same and it is translated properly here in the KJV. The idea is that as the Israelites were travelling to their promised land that they had to ask many nations to allow them to sojourn in their land in order to get where they needed. @Sandaledfungus4
Oh that's good to know thxs
what the fuck is up with all the biblespam
Lmao
@everyone Daily Question 🔖
- What's the ultimate goal a government should strive for and why? How would they achieve this goal?
Didn’t someone ask this before?
@Maksim the ultimate goal of government ought to be to work itself out of a job.
To subsidize my tendies addiction, this should be achieved by taking everyone else's tendies and giving them to me.
The ultimate goal of the state is the wellbeing of the citizenry. How this is achieved? Who knows
The goal of government is to control those under it, it achieves such through coercion <:depress:591181860420321280>
@kwit_dat_Stalin again that's the state
Damn autocorrect
Hayha you don't own the words
We don't have to use your esoteric definitions
It's presumes that the only reason people would do the right thing is through conversion.
@Maksim The purpose of the government is to protect its people and their sense of identity, in addition to advancing their interests and providing an acceptable quality of life to those within its borders
It's esoteric, but true. How do you think these packets reach you? The state? No, an organization who decided the standards. We simply choose to obey them. @Zachary
Words matter. They have meaning. I suggest you learn them less be a simplton.

Not really man
Government should strive to SERVE G-D
Government and state depending on the text can mean the same, analogous or different things
