Don’t change it
Right
I don't believe rights exist
Problems with socialism is that it allows the government to include itself in the economy.
What’s wrong with that
So instead we should let corporations fuck around with people's livelihoods?
Because the government will always damage the economy irreparably. Look at Venezuela.
Vuvuzuela time
You want people to suffer in poverty because they can't afford 200.000 college degree? That is already in America
The Venezuela crisis wasn’t caused by government intervention in the economy
It was caused by over-reliance on a single resource starting in the 1970’s
^
@Notso no. But as a guy who owns a corporation and runs a business. Government intervention makes things worse for everyone. I have experienced this myself.
@bolivarian_robert I disagree. It was one of the wealthiest nations in SA before they went socialist.
Prove socialism caused it
And not fluctuating oil
Or any other cause
Erm...
...timing?
That’s one
That’s not an opinion to be disagreed with, it’s a fact that Venezuela started being over reliant on oil a solid 30 years before the socialist government took power @Attika
Ever hear that correlation does not equal causation?
The crisis was doomed to happen
And when the socialist government took over they collapsed?
They were going to collapse anyway
I disagree.
The Venezuelan economy also suffered in the 1980’s
Seems like it was inevitable
Under a capitalist government
It was inevitable
In fact the charts showed Venezuela was growing.
So tell me how government intervention in the economy is a good thing?
When Chavez first took power Venezuela was literally just walking out of a financial crisis
Because speaking from personal experience.
Government intervention destroys lives.
You’re not Venezuelan so you’re not speaking from personal experience
?
What?
You said you were speaking from personal experience
I am
You don’t know what caused the Venezuela crisis though
