I use my yard for business
Then it is private property
I have a machine shop I do things for family and friends and I store company vehicles in my yard.
Then it’s private property but still shouldn’t be taken away because small businesses should remain private
And what happens when my business grows because I’m successful?
Government-owned industry would prevent such a thing
I believe you would just be prohibited from expanding after a certain point
Nothing would be taken from you
You wouldn’t be prohibited
That’s retarded.
You’d just be prevented
So I just create a new business that I own to take over new locations
Voilá
Problem solved
You would be forbidden
Why?
It’s a completely different business
Anti-monopoly laws
Voilá
Problem solved
Monopoly laws only apply to a single business
They can apply to people too
It's seen as a conglomerate of sorts
I can own several businesses and be their CEOs
Same person owning multiple businesses, or a corporation with multiple businesses, would all be the same thing in law
I don’t even have to be CEO
In socialist country
^
Rockefeller wouldn’t have gotten away with “breaking up” his oil monopoly if he ran all the new businesses
I could just own majority share
Then you are owner
That would not be allowed
^
Why?
If I am the best person for the job.
And they are different business
Monopolies shouldn’t be allowed lol
Anti-monopoly laws should apply to people to avoid loopholes like this
