Ethnic identity is much less abstract as well as easier to identify with as opposed to a "white identity". Whites have multiple cultures whereas each ethnic group has different or similar cultures depending on where they are and the groups around them.

I’m religiously Jew. Not actually by blood. I mean, I have some ashkenazi, but very little in my genes. I’m mainly Russian and German.

And im more Karaite than traditional orthodox, I hate Talmud.

Why choose to be religously jewish if you hold so little jewish blood?
