Being drunk should be a crime

2019-07-21 16:06:23 UTC

Change my mind

2019-07-21 17:34:03 UTC

@Deleted User drug use shouldn't be a crime. If caught, they should be sent straight to addiction therapy, not jail.

2019-07-21 17:34:19 UTC

No you're right

2019-07-21 17:34:22 UTC

They shouldn't go to jail

2019-07-21 17:34:26 UTC

Jails shouldn't exist

2019-07-21 17:34:30 UTC
2019-07-21 18:32:35 UTC

@Deleted User But can they walk away from the hard labor?

2019-07-21 18:33:14 UTC

Because if not that’s just... like... jail with extra steps.

2019-07-21 19:07:56 UTC

Just have criminals work useful jobs, most of them don’t work in general and are a leech to the economy

2019-07-21 19:22:20 UTC

@DrRisen Hard Labor equal to their salary. So if you are a drunkard who makes 40k yearly you must do hard labor until your labor is equal to 40,000

2019-07-21 19:22:48 UTC

Repeat offenses double and then triple your time in labor

2019-07-21 19:28:50 UTC

You aren't sentenced to hard labor in the aspect of time, but k the aspect of worth. Say your release labor is 40,000 so you must produce enough labor to equal to $40,000. It is up to you to decide how fast you work this off, could be 10, years or 1 year.

This dissuades idleness that we see in prisons
