im asking you to tell me how homosexuality is a mental illness
<:groyper:515728068275601419>
It was taken out of the DSM 2 years before a "study" came out showing it was "normal". Taken out of the DSM due soley to political pressure and it's reasonable from there to say that any "studies" that came out afterwards were also the result of political pressure.
buddy, that doesnt answer my question
ok lets start with the definition of a mental illness
a mental illness is a psychological condition that causes either
a) significant distress in those afflicted
b) causes behaviors that hinder ones ability to function in society
ok so how does homosexuality do either of those things
Where did you get that definition from
the APA
do you have a better definition?
Can you send a link?
oh sorry I got it from the American *Psychiatric* Association (who also says its not a mental illness) https://www.psychiatry.org/patients-families/what-is-mental-illness
Ok, so you're just ignoring something I repeated twice or three times
So I was right, you don't want to have a conversation
You want to convince yourself that you're right
Cheers
because its not relevant
lmao

@Riley idgaf about lizard people
Also,read the books I sent
@Riley bruh, have you read about the reforms of the last bourbon monarch before the revolution?
@Riley The WHO thinks being a compulsive gamer is a disorder, is part of an organization that has Saudi Arabia on its woman's rights council and is a giant meme
@Deleted User also I may agree with you regarding monarchism and a lot of shit but c'mon dude, make better arguments
Don't frankly keep arguments against the French Revolution handy I'm afraid
"The WHO thinks being a compulsive gamer is a disorder"
It is
A compulsive disorder is an urge or behavior that negatively effects health, job and relationships.
Meme tier shit
There are kids genuinely addicted to screens
>blaming the screens instead of the social forces and underlying problems pushing them to the screens
This is like the "violent vidya gaymes make mass shooters" meme
It ignores the underlying issues
Not what I'm saying
I'm not denying that there are factors that push kids to screens, what I'm saying is that screens themselves have been proven to be addictive.
For a comparison it's like me saying meth is addictive and you telling me to stop blaming the meth and start blaming the things that cause people to start taking meth.
Meth is addictive in and of itself though there are still undoubtedly reasons people take it.
@Deleted User meth is a chemical
Which causes chemical reactions in the body as a result of the chemicals
A screen is an image
