it did what the west had already achieved
Are you delusional
Gorbachev's reforms ended the USSR
Not it's economics
reform allowed for sentiment which had been boiling for decades to voice
That's wrong again
the soviet economy in the late 80s was failing
The USSR was entering decline in the 1970s, gorbachev just made it worse
I can vouch against it
Lol
Poorfags
They were well off
so they were kulaks
>were
my family lived in ukraine
and emigrated post war
Kulaks deserved it tbh
they lost their land to collectivisation
@sunman Almost everything in history books regarding the USSR is propaganda
one of them was even arrested and sent to a gulag for attending political meetings
Good lmao
i can respect russia in some regards
but its communist past did not help them
Authoritarianism must be enforced
as much as the red nationalism makes it look desirable
@sunman The US's economy during and even post-war was pretty command economy
the difference is they always had a degree of free market competition
the USSR had none at all
therefore it failed to grow as competitively
That wasn't the deciding factor
the right model of the bolsheviks was more favourable
Keynesianism doesnt work
the NEP could have allowed the USSR what it needed
That's already been proved
but they went straight for collectivisation
And then we have to ask the question - Is economic growth the ultimate good? @sunman
It's not.
I don't think it is
