I don't know if any of you have heard of the book Gruesome Harvest but it's an account of what happened to the german people after ww2 when the country was destroyed and there was no food and everything. heartbreaking

the schools treat the holocaust with all kinds of reverence and sympathy and try to push on you how important and tragic it is. when they don't do that with any other event that just gets glossed over. I knew it was fishy when I was in school but I didn't understand why
