thats a bobble head

2017-08-11 22:27:45 UTC

tbh the first one seemed fine. if you make it thinner, take more off the back of the neck rather than the front

2017-08-11 22:28:46 UTC

Alrighty, 3rd times a charm

2017-08-11 22:45:04 UTC

Neck was too thin near the bottom even before you thinned it out

2017-08-11 22:45:19 UTC

Maybe some sideburns

2017-08-11 22:45:23 UTC

Looks good though

i dont understand this meme

2017-08-11 23:16:48 UTC

@Sebastian Lawe The only problem is, the nose indent is a little too, well dented, and the bridge of the nose, is a tiny bit large, but otherwise! It's beautiful! I'm better at stylized art like, anime or semi-realism (( realism and my style, anime )) So I'm proud of you!

2017-08-11 23:18:42 UTC

I wanted to draw anime styled stuff starting out, but was told by artists to start with realism.

2017-08-11 23:19:24 UTC

@Sebastian Lawe don't listen to others, do what makes you happiest

2017-08-11 23:23:40 UTC

What I've been told is that you gotta learn the fundamentals before you augment them like with stylized stuff. Once a person learns realism you can supposedly do any art style with ease.

2017-08-12 00:00:13 UTC

yeah p much

2017-08-12 00:01:28 UTC

then you know how to exaggerate different things without making it seem unbalanced

2017-08-12 01:19:45 UTC

@Sebastian Lawe if you just wanna draw anime go for it

2017-08-12 01:20:04 UTC

but if u are more serious about getting good at art then realism is a good place to start

2017-08-12 01:20:27 UTC

i can give you some pointers if you want

Thank you comrade

np

2017-08-12 12:25:20 UTC

@Sebastian Lawe the facial features on your painting are pretty good, like the mouth ears and eyes, but the proportions are pretty off. I'd recommend spending more time sketching the face and making sure the shape and distances between features are correct before starting to add in details

2017-08-12 17:45:39 UTC

@Sebastian Lawe Sorry, I responded late, I was out like all day, but I was told by my aunt that is an artist, that you should start with more stylized things, because starting off with anime helps with anatomy and if you ever do more jurassic facial features on a realism character, anime/stylized art would help that because the exaggerated facial features. And if artist's tell you to start out with a certain style, follow what style you wanna do, not what others tell you, when you do something an artist wants, it pleases them, like drawing in their preferred style. Follow what you wanna do. Please

2017-08-12 17:47:41 UTC

Art is what you what it to be, Sebastian, but if you wanna be extremely serious with art, I'd recommend realism, or at least semi-realism, or just a little of stylized touches and then really realistic.

2017-08-12 17:54:53 UTC

@PrissyLaRue any progress my dude?

2017-08-12 17:55:19 UTC

Not yet

2017-08-12 17:56:11 UTC

@Cinarhette i disagree

2017-08-12 19:18:04 UTC

@pockypaints What do you disagree on?

2017-08-12 19:18:18 UTC

That's the first thing we need to get straight, lel.

2017-08-12 20:33:42 UTC

Debating on practicing more faces today, or moving to human anatomy.

2017-08-12 20:35:23 UTC

You should probably to anatomy! You should've started anatomy first, in my opinion... Anatomy is extremely difficult to get down, @Sebastian Lawe

2017-08-12 20:35:36 UTC

I made the mistake of not doing anatomy earlier.

2017-08-12 20:36:14 UTC

You could do both, like, doing a full body thing.

2017-08-12 20:36:23 UTC

My first month has mostly been me practicing anatomy poses, but never going to the rendering stage.
