then you know how to exaggerate different things without making it seem unbalanced
@Sebastian Lawe if you just wanna draw anime go for it
but if u are more serious about getting good at art then realism is a good place to start
i can give you some pointers if you want
🤷🏻♀️because pagan idk. It's not selfies but it's not art so I posted it here
Cool
@PrissyLaRue do me
Sure why not
@pockypaints I'm always open for pointers.
here is my art
Thank you comrade

@Sebastian Lawe the facial features on your painting are pretty good, like the mouth ears and eyes, but the proportions are pretty off. I'd recommend spending more time sketching the face and making sure the shape and distances between features are correct before starting to add in details
@Sebastian Lawe Sorry, I responded late, I was out like all day, but I was told by my aunt that is an artist, that you should start with more stylized things, because starting off with anime helps with anatomy and if you ever do more jurassic facial features on a realism character, anime/stylized art would help that because the exaggerated facial features. And if artist's tell you to start out with a certain style, follow what style you wanna do, not what others tell you, when you do something an artist wants, it pleases them, like drawing in their preferred style. Follow what you wanna do. Please
Art is what you what it to be, Sebastian, but if you wanna be extremely serious with art, I'd recommend realism, or at least semi-realism, or just a little of stylized touches and then really realistic.
@PrissyLaRue any progress my dude?
@Cinarhette i disagree
@pockypaints What do you disagree on?
That's the first thing we need to get straight, lel.
Debating on practicing more faces today, or moving to human anatomy.
You should probably to anatomy! You should've started anatomy first, in my opinion... Anatomy is extremely difficult to get down, @Sebastian Lawe
I made the mistake of not doing anatomy earlier.
You could do both, like, doing a full body thing.
My first month has mostly been me practicing anatomy poses, but never going to the rendering stage.
Hm.
Well, you could watch some YouTube videos on anatomy! And use reference, like if you wanna do a certain pose, just search up the pose on Google or whatever search engine you use!
Reference goes a long, LONG way. Even though people call it " cheating " those people tend to have lower quality art.
I have back to front pages of me trying to replicate the body shapes of female references :p
Maybe you could try the male form.
Maybe, but nah.
Male figure is boring :D
Female forms seem to be easier, but that comes from a female so, doesn't really help my case.
May I send you a friend request? LOL. xD
You seem to know a good bit about art.
Sure.
Can I give you something to replicate?????
