Looks like angle iron
I should bring my sabre
At Home Depot back where the brackets for the lumber are located there is an area with flat and angle pieces of metal. Also by the nuts and bolts you can find flat straps
What they said
About $40 worth of material. 15 without the brackets
I added the eyelets on top of the sides to mount a sling so it can be carried hands free when not engaged
An angled sling would be better
Carrying it like that it will flop around and be a pain in the ass
I think you are right... that's the prototype. Was thinking one more attachment point for a 3 point style sling
I am right
I do a lot of nerdy larp shit wit hshields
Lol I will follow your advice then
This was my first
did you see if they sell curved iron brackets? mine is a round shield. if not no biggie, i may actually just stretch some copper sheeting taut over it and rivet it down.
Not at home depot
copper it is
why metal
Something to cover the ugly plywood
sandpaper and paint
Think metal would be seen as too aggressive and warrant cop attention?
no.
Metal is just heavy
I doubt they're going to have swords or halberds or something
I just figure the dings of antifa bodies against it would be a melody
A Symphony of delight
If they did that would be pretty sweet.
Makena real Viking shield https://www.facebook.com/O.W.Netherlands/videos/1879357082385487/
Roman symbols?
I see nothing Roman only Germanic
maybe a triskelion, but that'd be lost on normies
Put a swazi on it
I'm thinking the flag of Corsica
ddude holy shit
I saw the metal framing and figured it would help protect the edge
It's only 12 gauge steel so it's not very heavy
Just get some hose
Like rubber garden hose
^^^
contact cement is your friend for gluing shit too
Found a nice center shield adornment but could it be deemed a weapon with this?
