It’s all about mutual respect and being willing to learn. I’ve had some weird ass culture clashes with some Koreans but so long as people are open and willing to see how to accomodate eachother in a reasonable fashion theres no probs

well, let me correct myself, the offspring of the first generations of that culture isnt willing to do that

That seems to be a feature of the kinda first wave of immigration from a new cultural group

the first wave was mostly wanting to work and accomodate, with their own private beliefs, but they still kept to themself and tried their best to act within the social norms

Then theres a bit of a clash of cultures with the kids. From what ive seen it dies down with time and people start to appreciate just how good they got it but teens are an entitled bunch as it is and see themselves as special snowflakes anyway and so having something to hang that feeling on doesnt help

I think people need to be confronted with the reality that they can always leave and if they feel they cannot contribute to a nation then that nation has no requirement to host them. Faced with that most sensible people sober up pretty quickly and the rest arnt worth the effort

People can be proud of things other than military accomplishments (of which America had little).

I would be proud of their culture that they managed to not only bring forth in the modern age, but also transmit to other countries.

I mean, of course, literature and art, rather than Coca-Cola and McDonalds

Or their pop-culture, although I personally find it disgusting.

America has done too many bad things to count in the last 50 years

And pop culture is nothing to be proud of

If there's anything an American could be proud of it would be the reversal of all these things
