I never got into the RE series.

All I remember was trying a demo on the 3DS and I thought it was a bad game because of the poor controls. That of course, doesn't speak for the rest of the franchise.

That demo was compatible with the second circle pad accessory before the N3DS

It obviously was meant for it because it was just awkward without it

Thus far I have been unimpressed with the control nub on the N3DS. I doubt it would have improved Revelations.

Reminds me of the absolute worst 3DS game I played.

Steel Diver. It was terrible. The concept was okay but the controls were beyond terrible. It was gimmicky and all touch based. But the 3DS touch screen is single point. You can only do one action at the time. The developers of Steel Diver don't seem to have been aware of that fact. Several points in the game require you to do two or more actions at the exact same time, which isn't possible because it's all through the touch screen. Eventually you'll reach a point you just can't continue.

That's why controllers are great

I just wish Nintendo would stop with these damned control gimmicks and just use practical, reliable controls.

They do it every single time now and every time it blows up in their face in one form or another.

Yet they keep on doing it.

Every new system has some sort of absurd hardware gimmick that ends up not being particularly reliable.
