Realistically there is no left wing party. They're both exceptionally far right in the States.

Though the Democrats are the furthest left but they're still pretty damned far into the right half the spectrum.

Just because the two most powerful parties are not representative of the people doesn't mean that that is the case.

Most Americans actualy are more left than right. But for many reasons, it isn't represented in the politicians.

A lot of the time when people are complaining about the opposite side to what they believe in. they exaggerate and get things wrong and make it more of an "us vs them" rather than what is the best solution.

And a lot of the time, a lot of people confuse an authoritarian/libertarian issue for a left/right issue and blame the whole side for that. Even though that is painting it with a very broad brush that doesn't describe most on that side.

You see a crazy SJW trying to control people, people are too quick to bitch about "the left" in that sitaution but that's not a left/right issue.

In that case they're being authoritarian.

That's a seperate scale from left/right.

Wanting to control what people do, say, and think, is hardly something exclusive to the left or the right. People on both sides wish to do so.
