Always been dead center in the middle when it comes to politics of republicans have good policies that work, be all means same for the left.

2017-03-17 12:47:59 UTC

Im from the UK but which side matches up with left/right wing with republicans etc???

2017-03-17 12:52:08 UTC

Realistically there is no left wing party. They're both exceptionally far right in the States.

2017-03-17 12:56:32 UTC

🙄

2017-03-17 12:56:55 UTC

Though the Democrats are the furthest left but they're still pretty damned far into the right half the spectrum.

2017-03-17 12:57:16 UTC

if there is no left then there is no spectrum...

2017-03-17 12:57:44 UTC

Just because the two most powerful parties are not representative of the people doesn't mean that that is the case.

2017-03-17 12:58:12 UTC

Most Americans actualy are more left than right. But for many reasons, it isn't represented in the politicians.

2017-03-17 12:58:19 UTC

Money in politics being the biggest reason.

2017-03-17 12:59:03 UTC

Theres so many definitions of left wing that I gave up trying to classify anything

2017-03-17 12:59:15 UTC

too confusing

2017-03-17 13:02:13 UTC

A lot of the time when people are complaining about the opposite side to what they believe in. they exaggerate and get things wrong and make it more of an "us vs them" rather than what is the best solution.

2017-03-17 13:02:57 UTC

And a lot of the time, a lot of people confuse an authoritarian/libertarian issue for a left/right issue and blame the whole side for that. Even though that is painting it with a very broad brush that doesn't describe most on that side.

2017-03-17 13:03:33 UTC

You see a crazy SJW trying to control people, people are too quick to bitch about "the left" in that sitaution but that's not a left/right issue.

2017-03-17 13:03:39 UTC

In that case they're being authoritarian.

2017-03-17 13:03:52 UTC

That's a seperate scale from left/right.

2017-03-17 13:05:04 UTC

Wanting to control what people do, say, and think, is hardly something exclusive to the left or the right. People on both sides wish to do so.

2017-03-17 13:05:13 UTC

That's why it's a seperate scale.

2017-03-17 13:05:28 UTC

Yeah ive heard things although i also hear that the sides are more merged and its difficult to tell them apart

2017-03-17 13:05:44 UTC

i just hate how people feel the need to 'pick a side'

2017-03-17 13:05:48 UTC

There's always nuance to everything and you can't ignore it.

2017-03-17 13:05:57 UTC

Labels tend to distract you from that nuance.

2017-03-17 13:06:04 UTC

buzzword

2017-03-17 13:06:17 UTC

Labels are just shortcuts, they're not supposed to carry real meaning that is of any use.

2017-03-17 13:06:35 UTC

American politics confuses me cant even handle my own countries politics

2017-03-17 13:06:49 UTC

Hi

2017-03-17 13:07:04 UTC

how are yall?

2017-03-17 13:07:11 UTC

Actually most countries it's the same. There's always a few groups that want to control people and they usually get more power than other groups.

2017-03-17 13:07:12 UTC
