Nothing nsfw anywhere, however
Though I saw no porn
I believe rehabilitation is better. It helps convicts become useful members of Society.
Different cases will have different answers, but in general Punitive justice is favored, because it is never a weak choice when administered correctly, whereas rehabilitation only works for people that are mentally healthy and willing to change
Yeah. So serial killers isn't in that category?
Too ambiguous of a question
Psychopathy can't be cured and serial killers in general are a danger to their victim societies, they should be met with the death penalty
In a way...
whats the topic
@Bearer Of The Curse what if the serial killer is only killing bad people
shouldn't they be rewarded when caught
Killing bad people is not a crime
t. fed <:fbi:508484036201545735>
of course its a crime
but I thought this was hypothetical
and talking about what would be ideal
some people forfeit their lives by committing certain acts in certain societies though
as long as they are guilty why does it matter who the executioner is
Truth
because how do we know they are guilty
Vigilante serial killers are cool, but if they are mentally ill you can't be sure to trust them. Otherwise you may just give a light sentence to cover his carelessness and move on
a Dredd style serial killer
awesome, they know, does the rest of society?
how do we know they know and they arnt just randomly killing people?
you wouldn't necessarily, I guess it would depend on the evidence there is left
so you're relying on some random to act as jury, judge and executioner
no
i dont see how not
replying to this "Psychopathy can't be cured and serial killers in general are a danger to their victim societies, they should be met with the death penalty"
psychopathy =//= being a serial killer and you can get into the weeds as to whether psychopathy can be cured
I think I am a psycho/sociopath to an extent
ok
I may be wrong
Do you have these traits:
A disregard for laws and social mores
A disregard for the rights of others
A failure to feel remorse or guilt
A tendency to display violent behavior
?
well lets say your right for a moment
should you kill yourself out of a moral duty?
whatever your answer to that is, it would logically follow that you apply the same to others
A disregard for laws and social mores, sometimes
A disregard for the rights of others, certain groups of people yes
A failure to feel remorse or guilt, not always
A tendency to display violent behavior, define violent behavior
?
your a pretty shitty psycho then
I wouldn't kill myself out of a moral duty because I think socio/psychos are necessary
Not a psycho, but sociopath possibly
I could flip a switch and kill people and not feel bad for it
