Goku's saiyan name is Kakarot(Like Carrot) Vegeta is named after Vegetables, Gohan means a bowl of rice(Or a bowl of food in general) while the namekians are named after musical instruments like Piccolo. Frieza is supposed to be named after Freezer while Chichi is named after breasts
