Bulma, when said in japanese is Buruma(Which they were going for Bloomer like the underwear) Trunks is of course, trunks, Bulla is supposed to be Bra, while the saiyans are named after food. Goku's saiyan name is Kakarot(Like Carrot) Vegeta is named after Vegetables, Gohan means a bowl of rice(Or a bowl of food in general) while the namekians are named after musical instruments like Piccolo. Frieza is supposed to be named after Freezer while Chichi is named after breasts
