I think he's too much though on the side of pushing medicine as a solution

2018-05-31 08:38:44 UTC

and someone will be more willing to

2018-05-31 08:38:55 UTC

medicine shouldnt be the solution

2018-05-31 08:39:02 UTC

it should be an aid

2018-05-31 08:39:16 UTC

medicine wont do shit if you dont do shit for yourself

2018-05-31 08:39:26 UTC

you can escape the sadness but not the mentality

2018-05-31 08:39:48 UTC

The fact that he said he's still on antidepressants and would never go off them is kinda silly to me. They should be an aid like you said

2018-05-31 08:39:53 UTC

Actually medicine does do shit regardless of your personal actions

2018-05-31 08:40:12 UTC

they can treat tho

2018-05-31 08:40:16 UTC

I didn't do "anything for myself" because there's absolutely nothing I could have done

2018-05-31 08:40:16 UTC

and help balance

2018-05-31 08:40:25 UTC

but he is the only one that can keep himself up

2018-05-31 08:40:35 UTC

Honestly for me it was more of how I physically felt rather than a mentality

2018-05-31 08:40:38 UTC

I felt sick everyday

2018-05-31 08:40:42 UTC

the medicine puts the footholds in place but you gotta climb out for yourself

2018-05-31 08:40:46 UTC

well not just physically felt but

2018-05-31 08:40:55 UTC

yeah

2018-05-31 08:41:01 UTC

use meds to help find a balance

2018-05-31 08:41:11 UTC

Doctors hand out prescriptions for antidepressants though it's kind of retarded

2018-05-31 08:41:16 UTC

they give them to people who don't need them

2018-05-31 08:41:23 UTC

Me personally, I've tried medication and it either didn't do shit or made things worst. Obviously it helps some people but it should be used to balance you to a point where you can work on yourself and then quit the medication. Not to be forever dependant on it

2018-05-31 08:41:37 UTC

i can't tell you how many times I've heard people say "oh i started taking antidepressants and i felt numb/emotionless"

2018-05-31 08:41:54 UTC

like you didn't have depression in the first place retard

2018-05-31 08:42:09 UTC

ehhh

2018-05-31 08:42:27 UTC

they could have a time of doubt in there life

2018-05-31 08:42:31 UTC

and they try to get help

2018-05-31 08:42:36 UTC

and they help digs em deepe

2018-05-31 08:42:54 UTC

I think it should be used to get you emotionally balanced enough to find a way to balance yourself and then quit the medication

2018-05-31 08:43:09 UTC

That's not how it works though

2018-05-31 08:43:29 UTC

In a person who has depression, their brain is chemically offset by default

2018-05-31 08:43:39 UTC

it's not fluid emotions

2018-05-31 08:43:45 UTC

@Wesleyy the problem is when you are on addiction meds, anti depressants, anti anxiety, all the emotion holes get clogged

2018-05-31 08:43:47 UTC

Antidepressants are not "happy pills"

2018-05-31 08:43:51 UTC

and you just lose alot of feeling

2018-05-31 08:43:55 UTC

@Wesleyy I felt that numbness. I prefer feeling like absolute shit and then sometimes feeling good rather than not having any ups and downs

2018-05-31 08:43:58 UTC

yeah they arent happy pills

2018-05-31 08:44:04 UTC

You lose feeling when you are depressed

2018-05-31 08:44:06 UTC

they clog up and block the sad

2018-05-31 08:44:29 UTC

and then you clog up the anxiety

2018-05-31 08:44:35 UTC

and then the impulsivity

2018-05-31 08:44:42 UTC

and suddenly you are mindless
