PS4
Or Laptop
Xbox in my opinion sucks
Gaming PC
Laptops are generally underpowered, and even if they weren’t, they have to be plugged while gaming. You also can’t mod them like you can PCs. The only advantage it has over the other two is that it’s mobile.
Xbox and PS4 are dying platforms, they also charge money for multiplayer functionality
PCs on the other hand can be upgrades, do not require what is effectively a second payment on your internet bill, they can be modified beyond just the memory, and can although they must remain in one spot unlike a laptop, so must an Xbox and PS4

Thank you!
I am on a low budget, which is why I was considering the laptop instead if i were to decide on it. I know a PC would need more things in order for it to run correctly. I also know almost nothing about anything.
But I’ll probably be debating this for the rest of my life, so RIP.

@cheejiburga I would suggest looking at the Linus Tech Tips channel on YouTube, they have holiday buyers guides for a bunch of different price levels. That said, I wouldn’t go below 1500
Most laptops worth their salt for gaming will be double that
1500..... shit
And that’s a computer with dated tech
*hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng*
It really is something you have to plan to do a lot of and be into, consoles are more for the casual market.
I’m sorry, I should have asked about a price range.
I'm in a similar position, have a laptop that I use for everything incl. gaming that's nothing to be proud of but gets the job done, and that PC is just out of reach of muh budget and time to spend
I have the funds to buy one at around 2500 before taxes, but that’s not just for gaming, I have to have that computer for college
Sorry
ur fine
I am pretty proud of what my build is gonna be like though
GTX 1070ti
i7 9700k
16gb ram
All in a nice red/black DIYPC Skyline case
@cheejiburga You should know that PC probably is going to require more maintinence, although it has significantly more features than a console would. PC exclusives are mostly MMOs, RTS games, ect.
Though console has some of it's own, RDR2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 are both only going to be on console. And then PS4 has spider-man, God of war, bloodborne, eventually dreams
also the last of us, which is great
I'm gonna be honest here though, console isn't really worth it to me unless it's a PS4 pro or xbox one X. Even on a 1080p display, it still offers supersampling and 60 FPS on some enhanced games
PC also offers emulation, modding, no generation lock either, so you can play games from the early 2000s or so, whereas with the PS4 and Xbox one it's only select backwards compatible titles
I own a PC, PS4 Pro, Switch, and I used to own an xbox one
Yeah, that’s why i decided to include it. I grew up playing on consoles and PC but i used to be able to play more games on my PC.
I’m aware of the setbacks PC has, but i’m also aware of the setbacks consoles have too.
Which is why i even asked in the first place lmao. I might end up having to go with a simple console because budget issues (and also a lack of knowledge on PC. My brother isn’t any help lmaoo). But then there’s also the debate, if i do choose console, on which.
Everything has their benefits and also their setbacks. Like for an example in my friend group, one friend has a PS4 and has no one else to play with (all of her friends have Xbox) meanwhile everyone else in our friend group has Xbox. PC would be safe but that would also mean probably not being able to play a lot of the same games as my friends, but i’d be able to play a lot of games that i’ve been wanting to.
But like i said, budget issues and just a lack of knowledge and such. It’s all pretty complicated honestly to me.
What's your budget
... ebay
Kidding but kinda not
At the same time
the max for me is probably
1,200
