Your appeal to science doesn't work because a simple google search proves you wrong.

2019-10-11 07:09:19 UTC

lmao

2019-10-11 07:09:47 UTC

tanning is sun exposure you will be exposed to sun if you work out in the sun it will tan you

if you tan willingly you will get sun exposure however long you choose to do it is on you so if for instance you have a lot of melanin you will not burn nearly as fast as say someone that doesn't. Like I said (I don't really burn unless I'm at the beach for a long period of time)

2019-10-11 07:10:20 UTC

I mean you are right on one thing, it's up to me whether I want to fuck up my skin or not.

2019-10-11 07:10:21 UTC

You're brown so using anecdotal evidence and acting like it applies to everyone doesn't really work here bud

2019-10-11 07:10:37 UTC

But tanning is still bad

2019-10-11 07:10:46 UTC

Real tanning or artificial ?

2019-10-11 07:10:51 UTC

Real tanning.

2019-10-11 07:10:52 UTC

Real tanning too.

2019-10-11 07:10:53 UTC

My skin doesn't get fucked up nor does others that got tan via being out in the sun <:FeelsKek:379422423206068245>

2019-10-11 07:10:58 UTC

I see

2019-10-11 07:11:08 UTC

That's aesthetics, not science.

2019-10-11 07:11:15 UTC

You're making an aesthetic argument lol

2019-10-11 07:11:16 UTC

My sister's probably spent way more time in the sun than you have lol

2019-10-11 07:11:19 UTC

My skin is fine from tanning

2019-10-11 07:11:25 UTC

She's olive toned and she's still having skin damage to her skin from it

2019-10-11 07:11:28 UTC

My dad turns red and his skin comes off

2019-10-11 07:11:34 UTC

He’s in lots of pain from it

2019-10-11 07:11:40 UTC

Yeah some people are more resistant

2019-10-11 07:11:43 UTC

I’m kinda pale

2019-10-11 07:11:45 UTC

Ye

2019-10-11 07:11:54 UTC

I'm somewhat resistant despite being a literal ghost

2019-10-11 07:12:05 UTC

Haha nice

2019-10-11 07:12:08 UTC

But I still put on sunscreen if I'm gonna be out for more than an hour in the sun

2019-10-11 07:12:14 UTC

Yeah

2019-10-11 07:12:19 UTC

*I like not having wrinkles and want to try and keep it that way*

2019-10-11 07:12:39 UTC

@Farunel >knows that melanin protects you from sun damage
>gets melanin from sun tanning
>implying that you can gain resistance to the sun even if you're white and lack melanin

tldr you'll still be getting a lot of ViT D since the recommended amounts aren't even accurate much like other diets.

2019-10-11 07:12:45 UTC

I tend to forget or skip it which I shouldn’t but, it happens

2019-10-11 07:12:58 UTC

I live in Sweden so it’s not as warm but sun still bad

2019-10-11 07:13:06 UTC

I'm white but I can tan. So I have a nice tan which I try to maintain while also protecting my skin most of the time.

2019-10-11 07:13:06 UTC

still having skin damage?

2019-10-11 07:13:19 UTC

sounds like a diet or health related issue

2019-10-11 07:13:20 UTC

It’s almost more dangerous on colder days because you lay in the sun longer

2019-10-11 07:13:34 UTC

Your skin produces melanin in RESPONSE to damage

2019-10-11 07:13:42 UTC

It isn't preventative lol

2019-10-11 07:13:52 UTC

<:FeelsKek:379422423206068245> bro tanning is literally the protection of your skin so you can accumulate Vit D

2019-10-11 07:14:01 UTC

It prevents further damage, not what you've already got

2019-10-11 07:14:07 UTC

>hence the lacck of burning

2019-10-11 07:14:09 UTC

You dont understand how tanning works

2019-10-11 07:14:26 UTC

"Melanin is a natural pigment produced by cells called melanocytes in a process called melanogenesis. Melanocytes produce two types of melanin: pheomelanin (red) and eumelanin (very dark brown). Melanin protects the body by absorbing ultraviolet radiation"
