Was it Linus tech tips or /g/? I remember few years back I was looking at 27" 1440p korean monitors everyday wanting to buy, it was a gamble it was cheap and uses Samsung panel but have chance for dead pixels or light bleeds

Ended up buying a used Dell tho

People were posting photos of their purchase and defects

I know /g/ was into them for a while, reject monitors via eBay.

always recycle shops or work giving them out

if you work at an office you can get so much shit for free

they throw stuff out that works fine after 5 years of use

Works great if you just need a screen, probably not the ideal choice for color accuracy or response time.
