There's a point to be made that all these review prior to game release are **access journalism** and none of them can be trusted.

But to go full Jeremy and use a couple 6/10 reviews (as if they were reliable) to make a conclusion... wew lad.

Jeremy hasn't played the game, yet he reviewed the game without playing to 3/10 or 7/10 minus 7 (0/10).

The only thing worse than a bought review is a review from a guy who hasn't played it at all.

And I do understand the antipathy toward access "journalism" since they are practically just undisclosed advertisements (because if they review it to low rating, they won't get the next early access free copy. And the free part isn't even the problem but they wouldn't get it early, meaning their future review wouldn't have clicks/views on them. Access journalism is cancer.

(But somehow IGN is now god. Somehow.)

Also, I really cannot understand Jeremy's train of thought... he points out that reviewers who gave Mass Effect Andromeda (a notoriously bad game) perfect scores, are giving Death Stranding substandard scores. So... *are they the best reviewers now?* My brain doesn't do Jeremy logic.

Also, I find it funny that when reviewers bitched about Cuphead being too difficult, the reviewers were incompetent.
Now IGN complains that the game has too difficult gameplay model regarding maintaining balance while rock climbing... **and it's the game's fault**.

News flash, the story of the first game doesn't even begin until after the conclusion of the last book

I've got a pretty sensetive woke detector for trailers and I'm not even sensing much from the witcher trailers

So maybe the show is going to go into the game time period after a few seasons... but Jeremy still complains that it didn't start midway?

It's quite possible the show will be trash, but it doesn't look obvious just from the trailers

And I think people are going to make the mistake of judging the show without understanding the source material

For example half the books are told from the perspective of ciri, so if people are going to get up in arms about the show doing that and calling it woke... idk maybe you should blame the books for that

There's plenty of times when the books follow ciri instead of geralt or tell sections of the story about geralt from the perspective of others, or multiple chapters that aren't even about geralt

the show looks like it will be mediocre

and you can kind of tell in the trailers

There's a whole book where ciri runs with a gang of killers and thieves and she has a lesbian relationship with one of them and has to fight off the attempted rape of one of the males... in the book... and I'm betting people will assume it's "wokeness" inserted into the show if they have that scene

but yeah, the games start after the books end
