I disagree and think that things are worse than you make out
However historically self corrections were done by war
Focusing the country on one thing above all else
The vast majority of people are still civil and don't hate each other
However based on a liberal framework
Its only the zealots that are a problem
In the defence of Liberal ideas
Which is where we differ greatly
You believe we should go facist to have a correction and therefore defend facist beliefs
I believe that if an economic situation with China for example needs to happen. It should be fought protecting rights and Liberal beliefs
We need to start seeing Chinese influence as illiberal
Essentially
The problem with those liberal beliefs is that everyone has different beliefs. This server is a prime example of that.
There's morons in here who claim and believe all types of crap about China.
I can show them that they're wrong and that they are a threat, they STILL won't believe me.
Why should we care about the beliefs of those people?
Whom are clearly deluded.
The liberal ideas IS the problem when it comes to China.
Yes Nathan. However we have a load of different beliefs. Within the Liberal sphere right.
Therefore any attack on the platform of liberalism can be combated by a unity of those people with differing opinions.
Every day we squabble between eachother, China grows.
It's hard
But it happens.
And history has shown that when an enemy economically influences a country to gain power, they usually win.
It's exactly what the British, Spanish, Portugese empires did.
They're doing the exact same things to us.
Which is why I explained we need to start seeing their influence as illiberal
We already do
We have the same basic outcome of limiting Chinese influence
You want to do it different
I believe the current platform can be a used
You believe facism can
I certainly don't because it's quite evident that China already is influencing it to their benefit
Such as when Portugal veto'd EU regulation to prevent Chinese investment in strategic sectors then cited "aiding China."
Our platforms and systems you see as benefits, China sees as weakness
And is actively exploiting them.
Such as in Australia and now Europe.
You see I don't see that as a liberal action
I see that as illiberal
Which means the system that allows that based on the Liberal platform needs reforn
Not that the platform is sick
