EU tariffs impact our imports
because the EU is protectionist
More than the exports
It’s really not that hard to understand
> Switzerland's economic and trade relations with the EU are mainly governed through a series of bilateral agreements where Switzerland has agreed to take over certain aspects of EU legislation in exchange for accessing part of the EU's single market.
> The EU is Switzerland's main trading partner, whereas Switzerland is the EU's third trading partner after the USA and China.
Again, protectionism is to protect against imports
You never block your own exports
Unless you want to keep your own products in the country
And sell to domestic markets
But that’s not really the case here
interesting.. more than half of all EU exports to other EU countries goes to the UK
doesnt sound right ... https://fullfact.org/media/uploads/Untitled.png
ah ok, outside EU vs inside EU.. that makes more sense
cos... protectionism...
(also physical location)
It’s also because EU countries are big markets
UK germany and france... thats about it really :/
Italy is a big economy
All in the EU
Maybe not Italy in the top 10 I can’t remember that one exactly
Eastern Europe is a massive emerging market.. What are you talking about?
yeah italy is
But they are a big economy
And yea Eastern Europe has amazing growth
They're going through large economic growth and increased wages..
Meaning, they buy more shit
And we can easily invest in them..
*Until Brexit* 🙂
well according to you China is buying them all... as far I know China is not an EU member
China is investing everywhere
you dont need to be in the EU to be a player in the game
Urmmm what game
you know what I mean
I hate it when brexiteers just wonder into vague BS
I think it's worth mentioning the motive behind the survey about violence towards MPs. The aim is fairly obviously to put pressure on people to dial down the use of such factually correct words as 'traitor' or 'surrender', it's not about the incredibly small real threat of violence. An effort to stop people with a valid point using impactful language to express it.
Not in Eastern Europe @wacka
Mainly in Western Europe at the moment
Heavily in the UK for example.
