so an economic terrorist might take a big pile of money and burn it on a barge somewhere
or, if you live on a country with govt riddled with backwards retarded socialists, country's own economy losing value and being unstable as shit
would that send the prices up or down?
The Dark Knight version of Joker actually created DEFLATION
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
<:thinking_clown:590855640268668928>
Value of money would theoretically increase if you burned some
Basically you're making everyone other than you marginally wealthier
I'm having very unhealthy thoughts about this, someone tell me its not that simple, please
and then banks send out more loans and "make" that money back up in a week or so
Inflation just means that your purchasing power decreases. Your purchasing power is a product of supply and demand, which in turn is based on how many dollars are in circulation (print more $$) versus how much people want to use them for exchanges. More currency in the system, the less each is worth. It's Econ 101, really.
Literally econ 101
If you take an econ 101 class, they will teach you that
@Jokerfaic If it makes you feel any better, I think it's probably illegal to burn cash
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnot gonna stop me
....whose money are you burning exactly?
It is a federal offense to deface or destroy US currency
no one actually gets prosecuted for this however
good question
*prosecuted
If you've got money to burn, you could always give it to me. I'll take those worthless pieces of paper off your hands. <:dapperTROLL:437819063545233408>
Imagine stable currency
You spelt crypto wrong
I said currency
I stand by what I said
Crypto currency IS currency
I mean, keynsean economics literally call for inflation as a tool to discourage savings because savings are bad for gdp
Crypto currency is fucking economic terrorism
Crypto has a lot of issues and we are at LEAST twenty or thirty years from anything useful
driving computer part prices through the fucking roof and shit
Wow gold is also currency, technically
@Hexidecimark Mostly cuz how are you gonna prove it? But if you're literally burning money and someone sees you do it ... >_>
@Selemas Yep
Well the most part is stuff like the pen test on large bills
That is technically illegal
@Hexidecimark Name one.
(referring to issues with crypto)
oh was confused
Adoption rate doesn't count, since that's an issue of ALL new things.
