Death metal has always sounded to me like broody stomp around 'gerr im mad' type music.... probably because they arent talanted enough to play half of the thrash metal riffs they would like.

I mean there is Technical death metal... AKA Death metal with heavy thrash metal influences that they just refuse to incorperate into the name of the genre. 😛
