you cant really play the base game without the DLC either tbh

A lot of the patch fixes are in the DLC packs

Go to G2a or whatever and get the collectors edition or whatever they call it

it gets you 80% of the dlc for like 30 dollars, plus base game obviously

the only things I know it doesn't include, unelss they've changed, is the last 2 or 3 dlcs
