2019-10-19 18:18:47 UTC

2019-10-19 18:18:49 UTC

kinda hard to fight under thosecircumstances

2019-10-19 18:19:17 UTC

Suuuurrreee they willl, Tato

2019-10-19 18:19:17 UTC

Cancel China while we have the chance.

2019-10-19 18:19:21 UTC

keep telling yourself that

2019-10-19 18:19:46 UTC

tariffs are a start but retooling takes time

2019-10-19 18:20:09 UTC

manufacturing needs to come home and stay home

2019-10-19 18:20:17 UTC

Sadly Chinese money acts like a mind controlling cancer to our politicians and corporations for generations

2019-10-19 18:20:27 UTC

suppliers and consumers of the same class all under the same roof

2019-10-19 18:20:53 UTC

not really "generations" tbf

2019-10-19 18:20:59 UTC

but yes, a while now

2019-10-19 18:21:38 UTC

if you have consumers and supplies under the same roof then the things like automation replacing people without creating better jobs that people can work just doesn't happen

2019-10-19 18:21:46 UTC

Send china back to 1989

2019-10-19 18:22:04 UTC

China basically copied every tactic out there along with stealing IPs to get what they are today, a rip-off variant of more advanced societies that actually earned their way.

2019-10-19 18:22:10 UTC

someone has to do the work; and if you can't expand the labor pool then you find a way to use what you have to get the job done

2019-10-19 18:22:20 UTC

Maybe the next Tiananmen style crackdown in Hong Kong be the flashpoint we need.

2019-10-19 18:23:09 UTC

it's the same economic phenomna that happend throughout history as the title of 'world hegemon' was passed from Netherlands, to Spain, to UK, to US

2019-10-19 18:24:10 UTC

each time, the country rises on the backs of it's production capacity and over time, outsources that production capacity become the financial center of the word, going off there historically good credit

2019-10-19 18:24:11 UTC

They are a knock-off brand of the west, aside from their own version of communism I suppose...

2019-10-19 18:24:52 UTC

They're doing a damn good job of developing a bubble housing market with their "ghost cities"

2019-10-19 18:25:01 UTC

won't last

2019-10-19 18:25:07 UTC

it'll crash hard

2019-10-19 18:25:08 UTC

as long as people beleive they can cover their debts, the credit remains good. Eventually, a war or crisis illustrates that they can't cover their debts and all the influnec an credit moves to the place with the production base

2019-10-19 18:25:20 UTC

this has happend BEFORE

2019-10-19 18:25:24 UTC

and it's happening NOW

2019-10-19 18:27:11 UTC

Ghost cities; can you think of a better way to move millions of peasants into the 21st century during a crisis other than telling them to go learn from that abandoned city? Building said cities was no different than the projects instituted by FDR during the depression

2019-10-19 18:27:39 UTC

Run at a loss in favor of developing a production base and trained labor force

2019-10-19 18:27:50 UTC

How much do I have to pay someone to abduct my waifu, Tulsi <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-10-19 18:28:26 UTC

Standing up to Clinton, we need to get her out before she commits suicide by hanging and 2 bullets to back of head

2019-10-19 18:28:31 UTC

<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-10-19 18:29:14 UTC

Thing about those "cities" and their existence is due to construction companies taking advantage of shady government loans. the materials used only see them stand for 5 years before the shit quality starts to seem them falling apart

2019-10-19 18:29:51 UTC

The tragic irony is that much of what China is doing is no different than the methods Donald Trump employed to make millions

2019-10-19 18:30:54 UTC

Invest every penny in assets that retain value but keep very little liquitdity so you look just as poor as everyone else.

2019-10-19 18:31:02 UTC

10/10 would not want to be in a Chinese earthquake

2019-10-19 18:31:41 UTC

well, most cities won't survive very long if just left vacant; shit needs maintence

2019-10-19 18:31:49 UTC

@ManAnimal answer my inquiry plz
