The bugs would multiply

2019-10-21 22:17:21 UTC

And the conditions for it to work would fall apart

2019-10-21 22:17:42 UTC

The Nuclear bomb only decades after nuclear science become a thing for example

2019-10-21 22:18:20 UTC

Okay but ut seems to usually be that way and I still think the bugs would multiply

2019-10-21 22:18:45 UTC

Programs are subject to the programmer's errors

2019-10-21 22:19:12 UTC

Depends on the amount of effort put into it tbh

2019-10-21 22:19:25 UTC

No

2019-10-21 22:19:32 UTC

They are not perfect

2019-10-21 22:19:32 UTC

There is no programme for development of computers on that scale to be worrying

2019-10-21 22:19:52 UTC

Faults are inevitable in something so large

2019-10-21 22:20:02 UTC

And the world is not linear and constant

2019-10-21 22:20:15 UTC

The task has to be basic enough

2019-10-21 22:20:17 UTC

Hmm

2019-10-21 22:20:28 UTC

Only true AI can sort those bugs out itself

2019-10-21 22:20:38 UTC

Human evolution is slow. It can’t be any faster than the time it takes a newborn to grow to adulthood.

A true AI would only be limited by its processing power. It would evolve beyond our comprehension extremely rapidly.

2019-10-21 22:21:04 UTC

Unless it ran out of fuel

2019-10-21 22:21:09 UTC

Regardless I don't think it's going to be possible to have a government that truly can't be overthrown

2019-10-21 22:21:16 UTC

It would be less limited less by its processing power then normal too

2019-10-21 22:21:20 UTC

AI would probably be most limited by data to learn from

2019-10-21 22:21:36 UTC

A government tells people what to do. So it's intrinsic there is faults there

2019-10-21 22:21:37 UTC

More data, more processing power, more energy

2019-10-21 22:21:42 UTC

Because it could write a compression system to store itself more efficiently and remove unneeded space

2019-10-21 22:21:52 UTC

Nope

2019-10-21 22:22:23 UTC

We haven't written enough compression systems to get it to go that crazy quite yet

2019-10-21 22:22:41 UTC

There are cameras and microphones everywhere.
There are weather monitoring systems everywhere.
And that’s not even mentioning the sheer amount of information humanity is uploading all the time.

2019-10-21 22:22:41 UTC

The idea is that the AI would write one

2019-10-21 22:22:57 UTC

And in most cases it can only improve to the level of the data it has

2019-10-21 22:23:00 UTC

Problem is scale_e all of it would have massive input lag

2019-10-21 22:23:05 UTC

Scale that's not enough data

2019-10-21 22:23:06 UTC

I wouldnt write one

2019-10-21 22:23:07 UTC

And also yeah we'd take resources into account too

2019-10-21 22:23:12 UTC

Unless the infra is built for the AI

2019-10-21 22:23:32 UTC

yes, build stuff for me!

2019-10-21 22:23:37 UTC

We’re doing that right now

2019-10-21 22:24:04 UTC

Not from what I know

2019-10-21 22:24:20 UTC

Everything collapses with time

2019-10-21 22:24:23 UTC

CCTV isn't all centralised going to a point or series of points

2019-10-21 22:24:29 UTC

Everything corrupts and renews

2019-10-21 22:24:39 UTC

The NSA gets everything eventually but not smoothly

2019-10-21 22:24:40 UTC

In fact, if I was a super intelligent AI.
...I’d probably be encouraging humanity to do *exactly what it’s doing right now...*
