Canada needs to become a global supporter of climate change
no
wtf
What even is this place
It's not on any map I know of
Some countries benefit from climate change
*well who cares about them*
I was just asked to interview for a journo looking to ask a young voter in my city why they are voting PPC. I have strong options ( but not radical), but I don't want to show my power level to a journo that writes about African hip hop and feminism. How do I go about this? I am the only young PPC member in my city that I know of.
Why did you accept in the first place?
Speak calmly, speak the language of compassion and reason. No matter what you say they will decide how you say it, so make every word of every sentence a positive one. Agree with them when they make their assertions , when they say "what about diversity" you say "diversity is important, especially diversity of thought". If you want to sell the PPC, make statements that they can't disagree with without looking like fools, that the reasonable people will see and agree with. Don't be bated into saying anything bombastic. Don't go on the attack. Be polite, and think about how you can formulate statements that will sound reasonable no matter how they cut it. If you have to say a snippet or phrase they will want to cut out to smear you with, bury it in the middle of a sentence so it is impossible to show without it's context is some way. Keep a recording of your own, just in case.
@Wercal3 Well, I was asked by a member in the riding and I am the only young member in this riding, and they do think I'm well spoken. It's actually more that I can speak my ideas clearly and quickly. Thought that is different than interviewing. If I were to guess the spin that would be put in it would be that scary right wing party is radicalizing the youth.
"impossible to take out of context" you don't watch MSM do you
I swear im the only center leftie here
@Burnttoaster you can always talk about how Bernier's immigration plan is to more or less the classic Canadian system, focusing on assimilating immigrants into our society while still maintaining their original identity within reason. Think like Italian, Ukrainian, Portuguese, and Greek immigrants from the 70s
those are people that wanted to be Canadians and wanted to fit into society
do your research, how radical are we talking?
Like trad con cause thats not radical.
White identitarian thats radical
Refuse to let him define your terms and dont be afraid to not answer questions
Also everyone see that Berniers in?
I honestly think I'm going to write in Donald Trump. Trudeau is fucking Trudeau and Scheer is a Bush style boring ass cuckservative who's only upside is that he's "Not the other guy"
@Medic#5322 just vote bernier
If you think scheer sucks
I mostly think he's boring
Canada is a lost cause. Do anything you possibly can to immigrate to the US. At least in the US there's a fighting chance.
defeatists
have fun, but remember its the liberal cbc so liberals are slightly left on economics
Wow had no idea there were so many fellow leafs in this discord!
Also I am def voting Bernier
All of the other candidates can suck on shit
Really frustrating bc in a normal environment Bernier would be a moderate but in Canada he gets considered "far right"
Was anyone else slight off put by the name Peoples Party of Canada. It's sounds communist. I know it's not. But it sounds it.
Lol it’s cause of the French
Yeah i don't think bernier is far right
Hes like in the middle of cneter to far right
bathy you have to remember in newspeak far-right means anything i dont like and anything to the right of me/lenin
Wow they let Ezra Levant write an article on the Globe and Mail
Surprised
