do i need to hand back my master degree now too?
He is Romanian, god it's hilarious since he agrees with me on brexit etc
hahaha that's what you need
Everytime it comes it, we just shut them down.
the staffer i know is actually my brother
he is 100% leave
"I forgot I was a racist, that why i invited this guy into my house"
he actually convinced me to vote leave by educating me
he had a module on the EU at university and decided it was one of the most corrupt systems around atm and will fully explain it to anyone
and yes, London is a bubble
Another one:
guy at work: "I heard that form to get your settled status is difficult, it must have taken ages to get back"
My housemate: "Actually it took me 10 minutes online, all I needed was my national insurance number and passport, i then sent them away and got my approval within 2 weeks with my passport back"
when you actually know people that deal with it you just laugh at the media, because you know it's all lies
Yup
Honestly he used to live in the netherlands
Doing this stuff was much much more difficult over there
I mentioned you can apply for stuff and do tax etc over the internet
and he was just surprised
wow really is it that bad over there?
Exchanged his Driver's license for a UK one
Took 2 weeks
It;s actually really quick
yeah, i know, i actually worked at a post office for a few years
He still has a phone contract in the netherlands
He had to give it to his sister
because he has to go to their physical office to cancel
He can;t just phone in
Yes
hahaha man, that's so backwards
Same with electricity etc apparantly
I honestly thought it was as easy as it is here
Apparently not
haha yeah, tell you one that really knocked all my brothers london friends for a loop
he actually did a rasmus year in France, and they all say "but if we left you couldn't do that?!?"
and he just replies with "the rasmus scheme isn't actually attached to the EU, so actually I still could have done it"
People also don;t realise how many "EU things" that are good we actually did first.
For example vaping regulations. The USA is having a bad time right now due to poor regulation
However, our regulations on what can be in them
cover all of the concerning chemicals
and go further than the EU did
In fact it goes as far as to outlaw anything found harmful to the respiratory system in vapour or liquid form
