Jeremy Corbyn wants Brexit, his party really doesn't.

2019-09-24 14:49:25 UTC

He can still voice his opinions and follow the policy of his party

2019-09-24 14:49:27 UTC

yeah if BoJo went to a massive group of EC members or MEPs and talked about how to get Britain out... would that be ok?

2019-09-24 14:49:38 UTC

Yes @wacka

2019-09-24 14:49:39 UTC

if he talked them into working against the EU

2019-09-24 14:49:44 UTC

well

2019-09-24 14:49:46 UTC

he cant

2019-09-24 14:49:51 UTC

you know why?

2019-09-24 14:49:58 UTC

Did anyone see their Cringe Compilation of a conference.

2019-09-24 14:50:16 UTC

because as PM he is a member of teh EC .. and legally cannot say anything bad about the EU

2019-09-24 14:50:24 UTC

Personal opinion != policy.

2019-09-24 14:50:35 UTC

So? @wacka

2019-09-24 14:50:47 UTC

He can still discuss tactics to get the UK out of the EU @wacka

2019-09-24 14:50:49 UTC

so the EU is saying its wrong

2019-09-24 14:51:14 UTC

not really... if he's saying anything negative about the EU he's not

2019-09-24 14:51:33 UTC

You do realise you can talk strategy without talking negative about something

2019-09-24 14:51:49 UTC

Also, if that actually went to the EU court of human rights, then it would be overturned

2019-09-24 14:51:56 UTC

As it inevitably would

2019-09-24 14:52:10 UTC

Weez I'm not arguing the semantic. I'm arguing the reality. If any politician campaigned in any foreign country against that country, that would be a foreign politician meddling in another country.

You don't cease being a politician just because you say its a personal capacity. I'm not saying the EU is speaking through Guy when he campaigned for the lib dems. I'm saying a foreign politician, Guy campaigned against the referendum result.

2019-09-24 14:52:33 UTC

It isn't about the EU speaking through him

2019-09-24 14:52:38 UTC

Did he even 'campaign'?

2019-09-24 14:52:43 UTC

I don't think I can even agree to that.

2019-09-24 14:53:05 UTC

Yes

2019-09-24 14:53:09 UTC

He promoted them

2019-09-24 14:53:18 UTC

Remember this

2019-09-24 14:53:56 UTC

when is the next article 13 vote?

2019-09-24 14:54:07 UTC

its already gone through right?

2019-09-24 14:54:25 UTC

doesnt seem like its been implemented

2019-09-24 14:54:40 UTC

since I can post links on here and see a snippet

2019-09-24 14:56:13 UTC

I'll agree, that is campaigning

2019-09-24 14:56:31 UTC

Now I'll ask, why can't he campaign for them?

2019-09-24 14:56:37 UTC

In a personal capacity, as he's doing

2019-09-24 14:57:07 UTC

As he is a Lib Dem himself @Joshu

2019-09-24 14:57:52 UTC

he might be part of alde .. but he is not liberal.... or democratic

2019-09-24 14:58:08 UTC

He is campaigning as a politician of a foreign power.

2019-09-24 14:58:13 UTC

much like the UK libdems

2019-09-24 14:58:20 UTC

And no, his party name is similar but no
