Eating certain foods does actually increase IQ

2019-09-21 22:14:50 UTC

E.g. fish

2019-09-21 22:14:54 UTC

Again, you have to be precise with your statement @Mr. Robo`tó

2019-09-21 22:15:01 UTC

Jews are not that special... except the askenazi

2019-09-21 22:15:14 UTC

@Monstrous Moonshine what do u mean?

2019-09-21 22:15:14 UTC

if you have a below 85IQ, everything you do tend to be counterproductive. if you could havbe had better nutrients which puts you to 88 or something, thats impactful and opens up more oppertunities

2019-09-21 22:15:16 UTC

Temporarily? And by how many points? @ETBrooD

2019-09-21 22:15:26 UTC

If you want to quantify the amount by which it increases, you look at Twin Studies and adoption studies

2019-09-21 22:15:31 UTC

Also we gave minorities a lot of money and food

2019-09-21 22:15:38 UTC

It hasn’t increased their IQ

2019-09-21 22:15:58 UTC

It’s like

2019-09-21 22:15:59 UTC

depends what 'food theyve been given' and when and where

2019-09-21 22:16:10 UTC

If you take twins, one raised in a rich family and one raised in a poor family, they at most differ by 3 to 4 IQ points by age 20 @Mr. Robo`tó

2019-09-21 22:16:10 UTC

and the money point is obviously true that its detrimental

2019-09-21 22:16:14 UTC

Well what’s the effect food has on IQ

2019-09-21 22:16:23 UTC

So environment doesn't have much effect

2019-09-21 22:16:46 UTC

@Monstrous Moonshine u mention before about it friend, and I stated that the info looks interesting and i will look at it.

2019-09-21 22:17:13 UTC

also if we just ship in food to an african country, warlords can take it over and the effect doesnt actually occur

2019-09-21 22:17:24 UTC

something to consider at least

2019-09-21 22:17:45 UTC

> Schoenthaler and Bier (1999) reviewed 13 randomized control trials in which gains on non-verbal IQ tests were compared between groups of people given nutritional supplements and groups given placebos.

2019-09-21 22:17:46 UTC

4.8 points higher IQ score for children who ate fish weekly compared to those who ate fish rarely or never

2019-09-21 22:18:15 UTC

> As can be seen, the mean effect of nutritional supplements was to increase a group’s average non-verbal IQ by 3.2 points and while not all studies produced an effect size which was statistically significant, they did all produce effects in the expected direction.

2019-09-21 22:18:32 UTC

> Closer analysis of these studies has suggested that most participants in both groups experience the same change in IQ (as a result of “learning” the test) and that the higher gains among groups given nutritional supplements is due to a minority of participants, around 20%, experiencing IQ gains of nearly 15 points.

2019-09-21 22:19:39 UTC

The second one has correlation, I’m not inclined to buy into it. With the first one it was definitely better but I want to know the long term effects of this. Does your IQ get temporarily boosted or does it actually make long term effects?

2019-09-21 22:19:59 UTC

Case in point, when everyone is given optimal environmental conditions, IQ gaps still persist

2019-09-21 22:20:02 UTC

And what does this account for lower IQs among all blacks ?

2019-09-21 22:20:09 UTC

my point is that with more IQ, certain behaviours will be more or less prevalent

2019-09-21 22:20:10 UTC

And those gaps are due to genetics

2019-09-21 22:20:22 UTC

im not saying the IQ evens out and its all happy fun time

2019-09-21 22:20:29 UTC

Oh

2019-09-21 22:20:43 UTC

im saying +3IQ points from simply eating better makes certain behaviours less likely to occur

2019-09-21 22:21:10 UTC

not everyone has to get to 100IQ, but its obviously better to put everyone up by 3IQ points where possible

2019-09-21 22:21:28 UTC

@Boop / 브파 / C'thUwU What you're not taking into account is that the environment that different races live in is in and of itself a result of genetics

2019-09-21 22:21:30 UTC

and from that, the IQ floor gets raised, which makes things obviously better

2019-09-21 22:21:34 UTC

So it's a genetic mesh

2019-09-21 22:21:44 UTC

Africa is poor since inception

2019-09-21 22:21:44 UTC

We also know behavioral differences exist between races

im not taking it into acocunt because im not talking about it
