First it was CD keys and manual pages, which imo was fairly reasonable. Then came starforce (later proclaimed a virus) and securom, then limited installs (fucking Far Cry 2 and Spore, later they patched it out), then they came up with the cancer of proprietary stores. Steam is no less at fault there though, you still need it to install and run the games. Denuvo is just an extra layer on top to keep it chained to the platform.
