The epic thing about the First Squad is that it is both Russian and anime.

There is no other anime like it, if you know Russian history and habits.

It comments on issues like communism, sacrifice and the nation in a way only Russians can but yet it looks like any other anime.

This is what makes it unique.

I would highly recommend you to watch it with English subtitles in Russian.

It's actually very deep and creepy. Quality stuff, but if you can enjoy anime and different cultures.

Just want to recommend it to any good weeb out there who would enjoy something different in style and story.
