I have argued with so many people in these fields they probably hate me by now.
I kind of have a rough character
yeah, and I also hate all this SJW crap
but I hear from people if you want to work in a Western university you must go by it,
otherwise they will never hire you.
So, this is why I really am quite stuck professionally.
@yordanyordanov not as much in STEM, unless you want/need funding (in Canada)
I don't think we have diversity requirements in the US for funding in STEM
Yes, I do need funding for origins of life, or even worse-philosophy of science/biology.
I told you I can not meet the social crap requirements, not the diversity ones.
In the East, at least for now, we don't have these.
In the US there's no diversity requirement
I would be all over Russia now, if the god damned KGB wasn't thinking only of nukes and weapons against the west and trying to convert its communist propaganda into a Nazi one.
Yeah, there's no requirement.
@Hexidecimark How shall I put it-I'm not a nice guy to work with when someone talks bullshit around me.
Lol, @yordanyordanov. Just move to the U.S. already.
A great problem of mine.
I work with people like that
Do you?
In me college, aye
Some are
And I have enough commies around me already in here.
This one is far from it
For example there was one journal in philosophy of science that I really wanted to publish in until I saw the chief editor spewing venom at markets because they would allow the rich to exploit the rest of the world.
I'm serious dude, most of the philosophers of science i had seen tell me all about dialectics.
The thing about a lot of those people is that they really don't read very far in
And this is coming from as West as it can get.
A cellophane layer of compliance can veil an ocean of dissent, so to speak
The other two fields I have direct contact with-origins of life and astrobiology is that there is this absurd hypothesis
called the RNA world in the origins of life that gets like 90% of the funding and I'm really not onto that bandwagon
Well, you could start from another angle then
and astrobiology is practically owned by NASA which is the quintessence of Big government as you know it.
I'm actually trying to do that-I want to break in the filed of complexity science but am not so sure how to formulate a decent paper yet.
I know it will take more time and i have some shits in my personal life I need to solve, too.
This is a bit of an interesting read: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1712.08961.pdf
Well I'd start with the concepts overall, and then don't try the math in exacting bits, try it more in general logical forms and then derive equations from those
I think I may break through journals dedicated to complexity or system biology but need to find the right maths first.
I really would love to finally publish that paper just don't know where and how.
Like when we did our equations for cloud bursting (use another machine like it was an extension of an existing one), we didn't start with the final product, we started with
"If you have the resources to, and need to, then burst"
