You show up and vote as many times as you want

in the UK we get sent a paper

one of the things though is that because they have a registration, they also know who you voted for

and that can be a little sketchy

even in backwater destitute south american pissholes we gotta show ID to vote

exactly why the US doesnt want gun registry

ah that would be different then yes

if you just show proof of ID

rather than government sending out a thing directly to people each time

unless it's done exceptionally poorly, voter ID only shows if you voted or not

but how will i win my district if i dont have my 500ghosts voting for me?

Also forcing people to need ids to exercise a right outlined in the constitution is the problem

the purpose of IDs is to prevent dead people and illegals from voting

the people who the constitiution doesnt apply to

and if they 'are allowed to vote', then it votes AGAINST someone else

it infringes on the rights of official people to be heard properly

at least in argentina, if you put *anything* other than the slip from the party you're voting for in the ballot, that vote is null

so its the opposit of how youre looking at it

voter ID is a thing they give you to prevent non-citizens from voting

no filling chekcboxes or anything. there's pre-printed standardized slips for each party that participates in the election. you put that and ONLY that in an envelope, and that envelope in a ballot
if south american pisshole can into voter ID without telling who you voted for, murica certainly can

well i assume its because half of the people in power can barricade the motion

because they want to because its detrimental to them

thing is, the left here counteracted voter ID's restriction on non-citizens by giving away citizenship to anyone who came in

Erm.. being forced to only vote down a party line isn't a good solution.

we only get to elect representatives, no voting on specific things. only representatives

Though, I have to admit, I use the vote by mail option where they send me the chit and voter information packet about the various candidates.
