but he's not NEARLY as cool in canon as he is in the EU
in the EU, he nearly fucking destroys the Republic
and only dies because his bodyguards kill him
He's such a force to be reckoned with, that Han and Lando nearly shit their pants when they meet a Thrawn imposter
I'm pretty sure most of the video games pre disney were also part of the expanded universe, such as knights of the old republic 1&2, dark forces, and others

@IAmAlwaysWatching Mainly because HK47 is kinda-sorta mentioned in the Aftermath trilogy, and he appears in both KOTOR games
(the original author of the Aftermath trilogy wanted to include HK47 in some sort of interlude, but Lucasfilm said no to it)
