pop growth has been significantly reduced, save for rapid breeders or buildable pops
Well the meta in 2.2 was just massive pop growth
you need to support said pops with needed amenities and resources
Get that and you'd win

You have planets dedicated to creating specific resources
*Feeders*
Then another for converting it
*Manufacturing*
by the time you have like 10 planets worth a damn its already mid game
So you can min-max buffs for that resource

Just expand quickly at the start
Rush to chokepoints
Capture them
This only is an okay game, if there are intoxicants in the form of plants
Then when your little area is 'secure'
Grab the planets quickly
this place is a haven of mediocrity
