Republics claim they vote people in to represent them on matters of state. Leadership in turn acts on their behalf. Which you can argue sure. But overall doesn’t give ya right to terrorism. Since anyone outside a 5 year old knows that’s not cut and dry as the idea of a republic is.

if the ppl are indeed sovereign

then they surely are responsible for the military actions of their army

I don’t think it is a lie. Because republics innately operate as any government would for utility and self preservation on a macro scale. But the constitution protects our rights and aligns us as sovereign.
