Yeah I know
Ye garbage
AI would micro manage our lives to an autistic degree
@Snake It farms your eyeballs and then kicks you out into the wasteland
Nah
Yep
You're thinking deterministically and humanly
Crowds are easier to control than individuals and people are their own policemen
AI will make us into cattle.
It will manage us.
All progress will cease.
If we are to form intelligence, it will be made of Human
A bunch of blind people are a part of the resistance
AI would think extremely systematically
Humans aren't a good vehicle for micro-management
Progress won't cease
But it will control and manage us like drones
Human progress will cease
All progress will cease except it'll make more progress in a second than humanity throughout it's existence lol
I wouldn'
Fucking goddamned apostrophe
I wouldn't mind the Stellaris approach of obsessive servitors.
They want to control the galaxy
So we can use it to live comfortably
Once the AI has that level of power and control, the AI will be what progresses. We’ll just (hopefully) be along for the ride.
People have a very fictionalized concept of AI
Normally you can't micro humans are an AI can 1 on 1 manage you and everyone else at once
It'd have a perfect understanding of human psychology and would find a way to convince you
Yeah it's all personal issues whilst talking about hypothetical impersonal thing as per usual
Teleology and shit
Well, Garbo, since we have no real-world experience on the subject, we have to supplement our own human logic and experience.
I read a short story once about an AI that creates living hell for humans - by taking care of their every need and preventing any danger or hurt. This of course means you can't do anything that's fun and even sex is regulated so your blood pressure doesn't go up too much.
I'm thinking purely in terms of what it would be capable of
We'll know for sure when the first fully independent AI is created
Of course, they welcome it with open arms because at first it seems great
Hopefully we'll nuke it before it takes over too much if that is even possible
When it comes to who _makes_ the first fully independent AI.
HAH! I don't trust 'em.
Uh oh
AI thinking will be beyond human understanding if you take that article about the leaked google quantum computer that does 10k years of calculations in 2 minutes you start to realise exactly how high level their thinking would be
I don't even know if their thinking would match reality tbh they might basically end up unable to function
Potentially. Memory storage becomes a massive issue.
